Meet Ingelou Stol, Director Marketing Communications

For Ingelou, the Dolomites are her happy place - hiking with her husband, son, and dog. In her career, she’s also conquered summit after summit.

Her first career was a meteoric rise in media. At just 25 years old, she had achieved her goal of becoming an NOS radio news anchor. “Then I had a bit of a career crisis,” she says with a smile.

Now what?

She pivoted to career number two, driving communications at High Tech Campus Eindhoven - an international ecosystem of more than 300 innovative tech companies - while also co-founding Fe+male Tech Heroes, a community of 5,000 people advocating for a more diverse tech industry.

It was on the Campus that she first encountered Salvia, back then a young startup featured in one of her documentaries. "I was intrigued by Salvia from day one and always kept a close eye on them."

Years later, when CEO Hubert Martens sought her advice, the conversation took an unexpected turn. Salvia needed a leader for branding, communications, and patient engagement.

"I loved the idea, but leaving my life at High Tech Campus - especially Fe+male Tech Heroes - was really hard.” So, she turned them down. “With a tear, I must say.” But soon after, she started second-guessing her decision, especially as she reflected on her meetings with Salvia’s inspiring team, from the founders to the clinical staff.

A few days after her ‘no,’ Hubert messaged: “Can we have one more talk about it?”

"At that moment, I knew I wanted to find a way to do both."

And she did.

Since mid-2023, she has been at the heart of Salvia’s brand - driving strategic communications, shaping the company’s positioning, and leading patient engagement. She also plays a key role in crafting communications for patients and physicians in Salvia’s clinical studies.

What drives her most?
